July, 2007: Marc Chason, formerly of Motorola, Schaumberg, IL was appointed a Senior Associate of Gene H. Weiner & Associates, Inc. A holder of 23 U.S. Patents in multiple spaces, Chason adds new breadth in electronic packaging, nano technology, portable energy technology, and print electronics to the consultancy. Mr. Chason, who holds a BS an MS degrees in Materials Science became a Motorola Dan Noble Fellow in 1997, Motorola's highest technical honor.
June, 2007: Gene Weiner was re-elected in Hong Kong at the Annual General Meeting of Wong's Kong King Int'l (Holdings) Ltd. to a seventh two-year term to the Board of Directors.
September, 2006: Henry Hisano Utsunomiya, President of Interconnecttion Technologies, Inc. in Nagano, Japan, became a Associate of Weiner International. Utsunomya, a well-known publisher of technical and business articles, active in JISSO, is a Japanese government licensed business consultant. He has 25 years of experience in international and domestic (Japan) marketing of high technology products including semiconductor compund wafers, P-BGA substrates and MAC-L substrates. Utsunomiya is a recipient of the IPC's Chairman of the Board Award.
September, 2006: Gene Weiner became a member of the China Printed Circuit Association (CPCA).
July, 2006: Gene Weiner became an Associate Member of the Hong Kong Printed Circuit Association (HKPCA).
June 12, 2006: Clinton J. Norris has been appointed an Associate. Using his industry experience as a COO, and his work with governments through the United Nations, he brings to the organization his expertise in operations, marketing, policy, strategy, staffing, and program execution, as well as advice on financing new venture startups and early stage expansions. He provides advice and direction in strategy and execution, in marketing and distribution, and in manufacturing productivity to senior executives. For governments he provides advice on energy and environmental policy, strategy, and technical transfer.
May 2006: Dr Poskanzer has been named as a proposal reviewer by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and was asked to review and rate grant proposals to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) "21st Century Jobs Fund" program". These programs, ranging from $500,000 to $2,000,000, were all for the state of Michigan's efforts to nurture start-up companies in the state to commercialize new technologies.
May 2, 2006: Gene H. Weiner joined the Advisory Board of Directors of M.. E. Baker Company, an eighty-seven year old wet process equipment builder with over 350 installations world-wide.
February 7, 2006: Gene H. Weiner became the 22nd inductee into the IPC's Raymond E. Pritchard Hall of Fame for his long term contributions to the IPC and the electronic interconnection packaging industry.
September 30, 2003: Gene H. Weiner received the IPC's Distinguished Committee Service Award.
March 26, 2002: IPC recognized Gene H. Weiner for his leadership as Chairman of the IPC Suppliers Council Trade Show Subcommittee for 2001-2002.

2000: Gene H. Weiner was voted one of the world's 10 most influential persons in the PCB industry in an election conducted by PC Fab and ATOMIC 29.
1994: WKK International (Holdings) Ltd. elects Weiner to its Board of Directors.
April 24, 1987: Gene H. Weiner & Associates produced and installed exclusively for Cahners Exposition Group the first full simulated production surface mount assembly line (SURFCOM) in China at Semiconductor International in Shanghai. Weiner provided a private tour and demonstration of the line to Jiang Zemin, then mayor of Shanghai, prior to the opening of the show. The tour was aired on Shanghai TV that night.
October 20, 1985: Cahner Exposition Group confirmed that Weiner & Associates will organize and install the PCB Production Path at INTERNEPCON/CHINA April 18-24, 1986 in Beijing. This was the first time a complete PCB production line has been assembled for a Chinese exhibition. It featured top production equiment manufacturers and specialty chemical suppliers from all ove the world.
June 27, 1983: (source Electronic News Vol. 29, No. 1451) "Ex-Nelco Chief Starts Own Firm". Gene H. Weiner, former president and member of the board of directors of New England Laminates Co., Inc. started a consultancy firm to serve the PWB, specialty chemical, and semiconductor industries.
March 20, 1968: G.H. Weiner was presented the President's Award by the Institute of Printed Circuits for outstanding contributions to the advancement of printed circuit technology and the electronics industry.
